In winter, you need to remember to protect the delicate roots of your plants. There are 3 recommended points to keep in mind:

• Temperature: When the temperature fluctuates rapidly (from high temperature to low temperature), plants' roots can be significantly harmed. To avoid this, you should place your garden pots on the soil instead of the pavements.

• Choosing a suitable pot for your plants: The larger the volume of the container, the better the plant will be. And the small pots will freeze faster and dry out more quickly than large pots. A good rule of thumb: select a large pot that has a thickness of one inch or more.

• Time: You will need to plant your container as early as possible in order to allow plants to harden off. If your plants are healthy and have mature roots, they will endure winter's harshness much better.
